Parent & Me classes are designed to assist parents, grandparents, or nannies in supporting their child's development through a variety of learning activities. In this setting, the child and adult can socialize with other families and get to familiarize themselves with the school environment. We focus on the child's milestones and common concerns, while also preparing engaging activities and experiences for both adults and children of different ages, ranging from infants to toddlers. The instructor plays a crucial role in facilitating these classes by guiding the activitiesand providing valuable insights into child development. They create a supportive and educational atmosphere where both children and adults feel comfortable to learn and interact. Instructors also offer personalized advice and strategies to help each family address specific developmental concerns and milestones. In these classes, common developmental milestones such as language acquisition, motor skills, and social-emotional development are often addressed. Activities might include sensory play to enhance fine motor skills, interactive songs and stories to boost language development, and group games to foster social interaction and cooperation among children. This comprehensive approach helps ensure that each child is progressing in key areas of their development. Furthermore, socializing with other families allows both children and adults to build a sense of community and support. It provides opportunities for parents to share experiences and parenting tips, while children develop social skills and friendships. This interaction can also help build long-lasting connections.

Parent & Me goals and objectives:

• Emphasize the role of the parents as the child’s first and most important teacher

• Encourage parents to develop confidence in their parenting abilities

• Emphasize respect for personal family and cultural values
